Hello, my name is Dulce, I am 21 years old, and I am originally from Houston, Texas. I am currently a junior at Texas State University, studying Digital Media Innovations with a minor in Mass Communication. I have always been a very outgoing, creative, and expressive person, and I love being able to show my personality through videos I make for my social media
I have always been interested in social media since I was young. I grew up with two older sisters who I naturally looked up to all the time. I was always very amused watching them do their hair, makeup, and the way they dressed and expressed themselves. My sisters would watch hair and makeup tutorials on YouTube which I would always watch very closely. For the moment they were gone, I would sneakily grab their makeup and turn on a YouTube makeup tutorial, which I would try to recreate. Sometimes when I knew my sisters would be out for a while, I would even make small little “GRWM” vlogs as if I were the person teaching a makeup tutorial on YouTube. The funny thing is, I still do this to this day. My love for beauty, fashion, and content creation has continued to grow as I have gotten older. I don’t admit this as often however, one of my biggest dreams has always been to become a content creator within the beauty industry. At the same time, I also dream of building a career as a Social Media Manager for major Beauty companies even for celebrity founded beauty brands.
Thinking back to my childhood today, I realize that my family has always been incredibly supportive of my goals. Some of my earliest memories of wanting to create content involved my father helping me record little “vlogs” while we were out on family vacations. My passion for content creating has only grown since. As I continue my education, I hope to turn that childhood passion into something very meaningful to me. I would love to be able to work in something that I genuinely have a passion for and allows me to have fun and be creative.
